ArtFire Collections

I have created two collections on Artfire.  One has selections of jewelry from Texas artisans that I called Texas Bling.  The other is a collection of "Welcome Spring" items that I called "Birds and Flowers and Bees, Oh My!"  They can be viewed on ArtFire at

March Already?

After spending most of last week babysitting our grandson, I am back in business.  I can't believe that March is actually here already, but I am so glad.  Already the robins are hopping around the yard, and business is picking up at the bird feeder.  Before I know it, the hummingbirds will be here, so it's about time to pull out the feeders, clean them up, and make a first batch of sugar water.

I did manage to get one piece of jewelry made while I was babysitting.  I had bought a string of beautiful crystal beads at the local bead shop that I just had to do something with.  I didn't know exactly what these beads were until I saw some on an Etsy shop last night as I was posting my piece.  They are Rainbow Mystic Rock crystal quartz faceted nuggets and they have the most gorgeous colors radiating from their center.  The shape is very unusual, as you can see.  I had some antique gold spacer beads and an antique gold hook and eye clasp that caught my eye as I was laying the beads out on the bead board, and when I put these together, the crystals just seemed to pop!  I love the design and I really love this necklace.  It should be a winner for sure.
